This year, both «BlueMonk Moods» and «Chromatic Blues» are celebrating six years of blogging. I say of «blogging» and not of «being online» because when I get the nasty blues, I like to close shop. And that's the end of it. But since reopening in June (after six months of silence, although I never stopped writing), the blog got tons of mail from readers around the world. Henry Miller was right: «You can only write to meet all kinds of friends.» I haven't been able answer all the emails, but I'll be running a piece answering some of your questions, an opportunity for the editors (my friends Marianela Daza, Silvina Torres, José Augusto Sánchez and Rafael Mieses) to explain what the blog is all about —that is, what's the meaning of our blues. I'll give you this, as Pablo Lobo, a Chiliean reader and dear friend, wrote the other day on my Facebook wall: «BlueMonk Moods is a salad with music as an excuse.» He's right on the money.
We want to thank you for coming by. And certainly want to hear from you. Send us your comments (or better yet, your complaints) to this email address editor@bluemonkblog.net and let's know what's on your mind. And please, never be...
